Hey Nashville! Get ready to mark your calendars for an exciting new event hitting the city on February 1, 2025. That’s right, the 615 Indie Live music festival is here to celebrate and support our beloved independent venues and local artists. The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, along with the Music Venue Alliance Nashville (MVAN), is thrilled to announce this festive event will take over multiple locations, showcasing over 40 local artists and bands across thirteen independent venues.
This isn’t just a one-off show. The event kicks off at noon and goes all the way until 2 a.m., giving you plenty of time to explore, dance, and discover music that may become your new favorite. With genres ranging from indie rock to hip hop and jazz, there’s bound to be something that tickles your musical taste buds!
And the best part? You can grab an event pass for just $15—yep, that includes all taxes and fees! This pass will grant you access to all participating venues, allowing you to hop around and catch as many performances as your heart desires.
Not only will you get a fantastic day full of live music, but your participation also contributes to a great cause. Proceeds from the ticket sales will support MVAN, including their Emergency Relief Fund, which plays a crucial role in helping our independent venues during financially tough times. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Presales have already opened, and you have until November 1, 2024, to secure your tickets. If you purchase in the presale before midnight on October 31, 2024, you’ll not only guarantee your entry but also get a chance to win a Project 615 gift bag along with a citywide attraction pass. Who wouldn’t want a little extra fun?
If you’re curious about where the magic will happen, participating venues include:
Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about which local artists and bands will be performing—arts lovers will definitely want to stay tuned!
There’s no denying that independent venues are the lifeblood of Nashville’s music scene. Recent studies reveal just how vital they are to our city’s culture, but many face significant financial challenges. As Chris Cobb, President of MVAN, beautifully puts it: “Independent venues are a foundation of Nashville’s live music ecosystem, yet they are quickly becoming an endangered species.”
The 615 Indie Live event is more than a concert; it’s about community, culture, and making sure the music continues to thrive in our city. Deana Ivey, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, called it a chance for locals to explore new music and possibly discover a hidden gem right in their neighborhoods.
So get ready, Nashville! Let’s come together this winter to celebrate our independent music scene. Grab your friends, get those passes, and let’s make some unforgettable memories at 615 Indie Live!
