Exciting Times Ahead in Nashville for AMERICANAFEST
Nashville, the vibrant heart of music in America, is gearing up for an epic celebration as AMERICANAFEST rolls into town from September 17-21. This year’s event promises an exciting lineup featuring over 200 artists, all under the cozy yet electric vibes of Music City. If you’re a fan of Americana, this festival is your playground, and we’re here to help you navigate through the festivities!
What to Expect and How to Dive In
Before you get swept up in the music, don’t forget to grab your credential. You can start picking up your Festival Pass at City Winery on Tuesday starting at noon. But don’t worry if you miss that time! The pickup will shift to Embassy Suites from Wednesday to Friday with varying hours, and then back to City Winery for the grand finale on Saturday.
Are you ready to kick off the festival in style? Mark your calendars for a special event on Tuesday evening! Change the Conversation, an organization dedicated to tackling gender inequality in the music industry, presents the Stella Prince and Friends gathering at 5 p.m. This charming event will feature up-and-coming folk artist, Stella Prince, alongside other talented artists like Gina Venier and Bonner Black.
A Musical Journey Begins
The night truly heats up at 7 p.m. as City Winery’s main room transforms into a haven for music lovers, honoring the iconic songwriter Mary Gauthier. With legendary names like Emmylou Harris and Aaron Lee Tasjan gracing the stage, this tribute promises to be a night to remember. But the celebrations don’t stop there! Gauthier will join Jaimee Harris at 8 p.m. to perform her celebrated album, Drag Queens and Limousines, in full—marking its 25th anniversary.
As the night unfolds, don’t miss the **AmericanaFest edition of Shoes Off Writer’s Night** at New Heights Brewing Company. This event supports Asian American and Pacific Islander songwriters with performances kicking off at 6 p.m. featuring talents like Ariel Bui and the Old Town Troubadours.
Midweek Highlight and More Jam-Packed Events
The festival just gets better and better. On Wednesday, the Honors & Awards show will be the crowning moment of the day. Kicking off at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Ryman Auditorium, this awards ceremony is a separately ticketed event and is truly one for the books. But you won’t want to miss the earlier festivities either!
Starting at noon, head to Vinyl Tap where Secretly Distribution and Oh Boy Records are hosting a lively Independents’ Day celebration until 5 p.m. With acts like Swamp Dogg and Dan Reeder, it’s going to be a blast! From noon to 6 p.m. at The Basement, you can enjoy The Peach Jam featuring talented artists such as Chris Canterbury and Emily Nenni.
