Nashville Man Faces New Burglary Charges After Over a Decade of Alleged Crimes
Nashville, Tenn. — In a story that seems to keep unfolding, a 47-year-old man, Davi Reynolds, is facing additional felony burglary charges after a series of alleged crimes that have spread across the Nashville area for more than ten years. Residents are scratching their heads, wondering how someone could continue a pattern of behavior like this, especially while being monitored with a court-ordered tracking device.
The Crimes Alleged
According to the latest court documents, Reynolds was caught red-handed after breaking into two local businesses in Midtown Nashville just days apart. His first reported burglary occurred on May 25, when he unlawfully entered Massage Envy on Elliston Place, making off with a hefty $600 in cash from the register. But that wasn’t enough for him; he didn’t even wait long before moving next door to Dunkin’ Donuts.
In what appears to be a bizarre twist of events, Reynolds attempted to steal a safe from the donut shop but ultimately gave up since it was too heavy for him to move. Fast forward just ten days, and he was back at it again. This time, on June 4, he attempted to break into the same Massage Envy for a second time. However, when he learned he couldn’t access the cash register he’d raided before, he zipped over to Dunkin’ Donuts again. This time, he successfully rolled the safe out on a dolly cart, adding a whole new level of audacity to his escapades.

What’s particularly eye-opening is that authorities were able to track Reynolds’ vehicle in the area of both businesses during the times the burglaries took place. It’s incredibly hard to believe that someone could pull off multiple break-ins while actively being monitored!
A History of Crime
This isn’t Reynolds’ first brush with the law. He was taken into custody on July 17, 2024, for multiple charges including theft of merchandise and assault related to a shoplifting incident at a local Burlington on Sawyer Brown Road. Back in May, he was also accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a campground office in Donelson—believe it or not, using an office chair to roll quarters out to his vehicle!
But the alarming history doesn’t stop there; in 2022, Reynolds was arrested on 13 warrants tied to multiple commercial burglaries in West Nashville, alongside a string of motor vehicle burglaries. Metro police reported that evidence connected him to crimes going back as far as September 2019, showcasing a troubling pattern that hints at a long-time offender.
With a criminal history stretching back to 2013, it’s hard to imagine how Reynolds managed to evade serious consequences for so long. Now, he is being held in the Metro jail with a bond set at a staggering $147,500.
