East Nashville Customer Reports New Problem After Car Stalls at Local Gas Station

A customer from East Nashville has recently reported a newly-arising issue after her car stalled at a local gas station. The issue was noted following an earlier slew of complaints from customers experiencing a similar issue at the same location.

The Incident

An East Nashville resident identified as Jenel Cassidy, came forward with the recent incident. Upon visiting a local gas station, Intra Inc. on Porter Road, her son’s Ford Fusion car became unresponsive shortly thereafter. Following an ongoing state investigation, the unleaded fuel at the station had been marked “out of order”, thus forcing Cassidy’s son to opt for a mid-grade fuel instead.

“My son drove it to the gas station last night, filled the gas, and next thing I know I am receiving a call that the car won’t start,” said Cassidy. Coincidentally, she received information from her daughter later, warning against using the gas from the aforementioned gas station due to recent reports of fuel contamination issues.

The Unfolding Situation

Cassidy’s ordeal isn’t an isolated incident but part of a series of related problematic occurrences involving Intra Inc. gas station. Prior to her complaint, other customers noted their cars failing to function properly after refueling at the station. One customer went as far as to post a photo demonstrating what appeared to be a water-like substance inside a container allegedly extracted from his car’s gas tank.

Upon hearing these previous customer experiences, Cassidy gained a sense of reassurance that she was not alone in this predicament, thereby connecting her troubles to a potential fuel contamination at Intra.

Investigation Underway

When confronted about the accusations, the employees at Intra declined to comment on camera, however, they revealed that state investigators had conducted a test of the mid-grade fuel earlier that morning. Documentation provided by the employees showed the state’s declared safety of the examined fuel sample, yet the Tennessee Department of Agriculture has confirmed the investigation of potential fuel contamination at Intra remains ongoing.

“Until we know the issue has been resolved, I would advise, from a consumer’s perspective, to avoid the station,” urged Cassidy. Still anticipating a resolution to the disconcerting series of events, Cassidy intends to lodge an official complaint to the state while also shelling out hundreds of dollars for her car repair.

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture has recommended customers to retain fuel receipts in case of similar occurrences. An essential piece of evidence, the fuel receipt could aid in establishing the time, date and pump number, thereby providing valuable details to address such issues more precisely.
