The Country Music Association has declared that “CMA Fest”, the Music Event of Summer, will be hosted by Ashley McBryde and Jelly Roll, the famed personalities of the country music scene. The official date for the airing of the CMA Fest is slated for Tuesday, June 25th at 8/7c on ABC, and will be streamed on Hulu the following day.
The three-hour primetime concert, scheduled to be filmed in the country music capital, Nashville, will feature never-before-seen performances and surprise collaborations from some of the most exciting acts country music has to offer. Names of the performing acts are to be revealed soon, adding to the already mounting anticipation of the event. The high-profile production is headed up by Robert Deaton as the executive producer and writer, and Alan Carter as the director.
2024 marks the 21st consecutive year of the CMA producing a summer concert TV special, and with celebrated hosts Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde at the helm, this year’s fest is bound to be impressive.
Initially called Fan Fair®, the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience™ was conceived in 1972. The premier fest brought in only 5,000 fans to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Today, the acclaimed festival has risen as the city’s signature Country Music event, bringing in droves of fans amounting to tens of thousands from all 50 states and 39 international countries.
CMA Fest is a festival like no other, with hundreds of artists volunteering to perform, thereby allowing for the proceeds to directly benefit high-quality music programs across the country via the CMA Foundation. The festival features a unique blend of music, entertainment, and fan engagement that transcends the typical concert experience.
For the 21st consecutive year, CMA is rolling out another summer music program to be broadcast as a network television special on ABC. CMA Fest’s three-hour-long televised show provides behind-the-scenes access and interviews with the stars, alongside featuring performances and collaborations recorded during the four-day festival held in Nashville.
Share the joy and love of country music, and catch some of the best names in the industry performing live and exclusive at the 51st CMA Fest, brought to you by the Country Music Association.
