Nashville Mom Accuses Daycare Worker of Cutting Her Toddler’s Hair Without Permission
In Nashville, Tennessee, Patricia Hill, a local mother, has reported that a daycare worker cut her 2-year-old son’s hair without her permission, leading to a wave of outrage and controversy within the community.
Debunking The Incident
According to Hill, when she discovered that her son’s hair had been cut by his daycare teacher, she was flooded with emotions of distress and disrespect. The incident allegedly occurred on June 20, inside the Martha O’Bryan Center, where her son Connor was under daycare supervision and she was working on reception duties. A fellow employee informed Hill that Connor’s teacher had taken the liberty of cutting his hair with a pair of scissors, a decision which left Hill profoundly upset.
Investigative Reports
Upon addressing the issue, the Martha O’Bryan Center officials claimed that the child had gotten toy slime entangled in his hair, and the daycare teacher decided to cut the tips of Connor’s hair as a quick solution. This incident, as per the childcare facility, was against the MOBC’s policies, and the daycare teacher involved has been duly corrected. They have also extended an apology to Hill for the incident.
Daycare Negligence Adds Fuel to the Fire
Directly affected by the incident, Hill expressed her disdain, stating, “I felt disrespected, real, real disrespected. You should’ve just come to me, it was none of your business to cut his hair. However you felt was wrong with his hair, you should’ve come to me. I was right down the hall.” Adding to her grievances, Hill was abruptly fired the following day, a decision which the MOBC maintains was due to factors unrelated to the hair-cutting incident.

This incident has not only cost Hill her job but also brought upon the additional challenge of having to find a new daycare center for Connor.
