Cheekwood Estate & Gardens Hosts Pet-Friendly Weekend Event, Invites Dog Owners to Experience Its Renowned Dogwood Collection

Dogs and Dogwoods: Cheekwood Welcomes Your Furry Friends

Enjoy a Fun-filled, Canine-friendly Event in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Insightfully designed to enchant dog owners and their furry companions, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is hosting a remarkable event, Dogs and Dogwoods, on the weekend of April 20-21. This highly anticipated event tagged as a pet-friendly weekend is set to offer an array of engaging activities, local dog-focused vendors, and delightful musical performances within the beautifully adorned garden frame. The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

However, the star attraction lies not only in the scheduled activities for the dogs but also the mesmerizing depth of Cheekwood’s Dogwood collection. In this grandeur event, you and your pawed friend can enjoy the sight of a whopping 238 native trees uniquely weaved across the landscape, adding a unique charm to the scenic establishment.

What to Expect at Dogs and Dogwoods

Pet owners will find plenty of essential stations interspersed throughout the area—water refill stations for their pets along with doggie bag stations (guests are urged to bring their bowls). A wide range of pet-focused vendors are set to feature all-natural treats, bandanas, and other pet accessories, complemented perfectly by a cadre of food vendors catering to the dog owners.

Though the radiant beauty of Cheekwood’s landscape is set to steal the show, it would invariably comprise a significant portion of the Carell Dogwood Garden, a well-known favorite among the estate’s distinct gardens. Pet owners can explore these scenic locales alongside their four-legged friends, provided the dogs are neatly tethered on leashes.

Admission Information

Though Dogs and Dogwoods is complimentary to members and children aged two years and below, tickets for non-members are priced at $22 for adults and $15 for youth aged 3 to 27 years old. Please note that pets are not yet permitted inside any buildings inclusive of the Historic Mansion and Museum.

Taking the current situation into consideration, all tickets need to be reserved. However, the much-awaited weekend promises a unique, engaging, and pet-filled experience that’s truly one-of-a-kind.

For timely updates and news about the upcoming event or to stay linked with other dog owners, you can connect through various digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
