Dolly Parton Reveals Plans for New Songteller Hotel in Nashville

Dolly Parton Announces Plans for ‘Songteller Hotel’ in Nashville

The Queen of Country prepares to make her mark on Nashville’s hospitality scene

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The iconic singer, song-writer and actress, Dolly Parton, has recently announced that she has plans for a new hotel right in the heart of Nashville. The property, aptly named the Songteller Hotel, will be located at the junction of Third Avenue North and Commerce Street in downtown Nashville.

The Dollywood Company, a joint venture between Herschend Enterprises and Dolly Parton herself, acquired the property at 211 Commerce Street in the December just past. The previously existing building on this property will be renovated to become the Songteller Hotel, adding yet another investment to Parton’s multi-faceted business ventures.

Parton’s Vision for the Future of Nashville

In a statement issued in December, Parton said, “Since the pandemic, commercial real estate is becoming an opportunity. I strongly believe in the future of Nashville and feel this is a great investment.

The revelation about the hotel project was made during a sit-down discussion to kick-off the CMA Fest in Nashville, confirming the whispers that had been going around the industry.

A Continued Legacy of Success

This is not Parton’s first venture into the hospitality industry. She is well known for her theme park, Dollywood, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This recent addition to her business portfolio only cements her place as a strong and diverse business woman.

Parton also took the opportunity during her announcement to mention her new wine brand and a Broadway musical based on her life, demonstrating her continuous ambition and drive.

At 77 years old, the Queen of Country shows no signs of slowing down and continues to utilize her platform to contribute to the economy and the culture of her beloved Tennessee.

Looking Forward

While there is eagerly anticipated interest in Parton’s upcoming hospitality venture, details about the hotel are yet to be shared. Regardless, Parton’s decision to invest in Nashville’s booming commercial real estate market adds another exciting dimension to the city’s growth and transformation.

As the fans and the music industry eagerly wait for more news on the Songteller Hotel, they can only imagine the joys the Queen of Country-style hospitality will bring to Nashville.
