Downtown Nashville Honors Pinnacle Financial Partners as a Leading Workplace for Women

Downtown Nashville Celebrates Pinnacle Financial Partners as a Top Workplace for Women

Hey there, Nashville! Exciting news has just reached our vibrant downtown community—Pinnacle Financial Partners has been recognized as one of the best large workplaces for women in the country by Fortune. Can you believe this? They landed a remarkable No. 8 spot out of 100 companies! That’s quite the achievement, and it speaks loudly about the company’s dedication to its employees.

A Closer Look at the Rankings

In a world where workplace environments can feel cookie-cutter, Pinnacle has managed to stand out. According to a survey from Great Place To Work, an impressive 97% of Pinnacle employees reported that it’s a great place to work. Just to put that into perspective, only about 57% of employees at typical U.S.-based companies feel the same way. Talk about a significant difference!

But wait, there’s more! Pinnacle Financial Partners didn’t stop with just one accolade. They also snagged the No. 9 position on the list of best workplaces for millennials and came in at No. 11 among the best 100 companies to work for in 2024. This marks their seventh time making this internationally recognized list, a feat they were also celebrated for in past years like 2017, 2018, and 2021. It’s clear that Pinnacle knows how to keep its employees happy and engaged.

Voices from Leadership

Summer Yeiser, the Director of Associate and Client Experience, expressed her pride, stating, “I am deeply honored that our firm has been recognized as one of the top workplaces for women. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, contribute, and lead.” What a refreshing take on workplace culture!

Adding to this sentiment, Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s President and CEO, emphasized that the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to inclusion. “We believe diversity in leadership and across all levels of the organization is not just the right thing to do but also a critical driver of our success,” he noted. With leaders like this, it’s no wonder Pinnacle has clawed its way to the top.

How Are the Rankings Determined?

So, how does a company earn such prestigious recognition? Well, Fortune partnered with Great Place To Work, analyzing survey responses from nearly 600,000 women. Participants filled out the Trust Index Survey, providing both quantitative and qualitative feedback about their workplace culture. They responded to 60 statements on a five-point scale and shared their thoughts in two open-ended questions.

The methodology report explained, “The best companies create great work experiences for women not just for female full-time managers, but also for female part-time employees on the front lines.” It’s this broad perspective that helps identify companies making a real impact and fostering a positive environment for all women.

Requirements for Recognition

To even be eligible for Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women list, companies have to meet some solid criteria. They must be Great Place to Work certified, have at least 50 female employees in the U.S., ensure that at least 20% of non-executive management is made up of women, and have at least one woman in the C-Suite. This creates a comprehensive overview of how a company supports women at every level.

A Growing Trend in Nashville

With Pinnacle leading the charge, it’s exciting to see more companies in Nashville striving for inclusivity and ranking high on such esteemed lists. The focus on creating diverse and supportive workplaces not only empowers women but also enriches the communities they operate in, creating a ripple effect of positivity.

As Nashville continues to grow and evolve, let’s keep an eye on how our local businesses prioritize their employees, promote equality, and find innovative ways to foster beneficial work environments. Cheers to Pinnacle Financial Partners for shining a spotlight on what’s possible!
