Exciting New Retail Store Coopers 12South to Open in Nashville’s 12 South Neighborhood in November

Exciting New Retail Store Coming to 12 South in Nashville

Nashville, known for its vibrant culture and music scene, is stirring with excitement as a beloved local spot makes way for something new. When Portland Brew 12 South closed its doors at the end of August, many were left wondering what would replace the cherished coffee shop. Well, the wait is over! This morning, it was announced that country music superstar Luke Bryan and the men’s apparel brand Jockey are teaming up to open a retail shop called Coopers 12South.

A Nod to History

Set to open in late November, Coopers 12South honors the legacy of Samuel Cooper, the founder of Jockey. The concept behind this store promises to bring a unique blend of Bryan’s passion for both the outdoors and the rich musical heritage of Nashville into one vibrant location. “I could not be more excited to partner with my friends at Jockey to open this store right here in Music City on 12South,” Luke Bryan expressed. “Coopers 12South is going to be such a great experience for everyone who enters our door while also focusing on being a good neighbor to those up and down that street.”

A Unique Shopping Experience

Shoppers can look forward to a true Nashville experience at Coopers. The store will offer a variety of items, including items from Bryan’s exclusive collection of Jockey flannels and vests. But that’s not all! Local artisans will have their craft displayed, with one-of-a-kind apparel designed by Nashville’s very own talents. Imagine browsing through unique, locally-made goods that resonate with the heart and soul of Music City!

Immersive Design and Community Focus

Coopers 12South doesn’t just stop at the merchandise; it’s designed to be an experience. The store will feature immersive LED walls and artistic installations that reflect the lively spirit of the neighborhood. Mark Fedyk, President and COO of Jockey, shared his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Luke and bring an immersive, lifestyle-first store to the 12South community that creates a distinctive experience for our guests.” He emphasized that everything about the store would embody the essence of the 12South neighborhood, making it a perfect fit for the area.

A Community Gathering Place

In addition to shopping, Coopers will aim to foster a sense of community. The project leaders indicated that one of the best features of the current space, the trellis-covered patio, will remain. This cozy area will allow visitors to relax and recharge after exploring the retail offerings. It sounds like the perfect spot to sip some coffee or enjoy a snack while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Local Ties and Future Goals

This venture aligns with Jockey’s commitment to establishing strong roots in Nashville. Earlier this year, the company opened an office at Fifth + Broadway in Downtown Nashville, and they’re eager to deepen their relationships within the city’s bustling business community.

What’s Next?

While the exact renovations of the building at 2605 12th Ave. S. are still in the works, the excitement surrounding Coopers 12South is already palpable. It’s clear that this new retail destination will not only honor the memory of Portland Brew but will also create a space that uplifts local talent and embodies the spirit of Nashville.

So mark your calendars for late November, because Coopers 12South promises an experience that combines shopping, community, and a celebration of Nashville’s music and outdoor culture. We can’t wait to see what this unique store has to offer!
