If you’re in Nashville, you’re in for some good news! The Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) is hosting a friendly, in-person Medicare counseling event that you won’t want to miss. With the important Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) just around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity for Medicare beneficiaries to get the help they need to navigate changes in their coverage.

When and Where?

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 1, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The event will take place at the GNRC Office located at 44 Vantage Way, Suite 450, Nashville, TN 37228.

This is a great chance to drop by, ask questions, and receive unbiased guidance from trained professionals.

Why Should You Attend?

This event promises to deliver free, non-commissioned Medicare counseling. That means you can receive accurate information without the pressure to purchase anything. Counselors and volunteers will be on hand to help you understand the significant changes coming to Medicare in 2025 and to aid you as you review and adjust your coverage options.

How to Sign Up?

You’ll need to register for an appointment since spots are limited. To secure your place, simply visit GNRC.org/MedicareSignUp or give them a call at 615-862-8828. Signing up ahead of time ensures you’ll receive the dedicated attention you need during your counseling session.

Additional Support Throughout the Region

But wait, there’s more! Throughout the AEP, additional events will be hosted at local senior centers to offer even more support to Middle Tennesseans. For those who can’t make the November 1 event, check out the full list of dates and locations at GNRC.org/MedicareEvents.

Remember, Medicare counseling and resources are available year-round through the SHIP program. If you need assistance at any time, you can call the statewide SHIP helpline at 877-801-0044. These dedicated professionals are eager to help!

Understanding the AEP

For those who may not be familiar, the Annual Enrollment Period is an annual opportunity for individuals to make changes to their Medicare coverage. It runs from October 15 to December 7, with any new choices taking effect on January 1, 2025. This once-a-year window allows beneficiaries to make adjustments to their health plans and prescription drug coverage to better meet their needs.

During the counseling event, you’ll have the chance to meet one-on-one with counselors who will guide you in reviewing your options. Whether you have questions about health plans or need assistance with figuring out your prescription drug coverage, the knowledgeable staff is prepared to help!

Take the Next Step

Don’t let the upcoming changes to Medicare catch you off guard! Join us for this important event to make sure you’re ready for the changes coming in 2025. It’s free, it’s informative, and it’s a valuable resource aimed at helping you make the best choices for your health care.

Here’s hoping we’ll see a great turnout for this helpful event in Nashville. Remember, having the right information is key to making the best decisions for your healthcare!
