Nashville Welcomes the Holiday Spirit with Exciting Free Activities!

As the holiday season sneaks up on us, the wonderful city of Nashville is gearing up to celebrate in style! Bass Pro Shops’ Santa’s Wonderland

One of the most loved local attractions kicks off the holiday cheer at Bass Pro Shops. Their Santa’s Wonderland is open now through Christmas Eve. Enjoy free activities such as Christmas Tales narrated by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and even a delightful Yuletide Breakfast on the weekends. And don’t forget to snap a free picture with Santa himself! Plus, there will be weekend giveaways to sweeten the deal!

Christmas at Gaylord Opryland

The holiday celebrations at Gaylord Opryland began on November 8 and will continue running until January 4. While some activities are ticketed, there’s a sparkling sight waiting for you! You can stroll through a dazzling display featuring over 3 million lights and admire the beautiful nativity display. It’s a perfect outing for anyone looking to soak in the holiday magic!

Lipscomb University’s 20th Annual Lighting of the Green

On December 3, make sure to swing by Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena Mall for their 20th Annual Lighting of the Green. Starting at 4 p.m., you’ll be treated to a festive atmosphere, culminating in a free concert at 6 p.m. Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry; it will also be livestreamed. Keep your ears open for a surprise guest, along with performances by Lipscomb’s very own Sanctuary and Gospel Choir!

Christmas at the Tennessee Residence

The Governor and First Lady open their home to the public for a delightful experience, giving everyone the chance to tour the historic Tennessee Residence, beautifully decorated for Christmas throughout December. It’s a unique opportunity to see a piece of Nashville’s history embrace the holiday spirit!

Christmas Open House at the Tennessee Agricultural Museum

On December 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visit the Tennessee Agricultural Museum for their annual Christmas Open House. The museum will be decked out for the holidays, offering visitors a taste of holiday treats like ham biscuits and spiced cider, all while enjoying heartwarming music. You can also shop from local artists showcasing their handmade goods!

Walk Thru Bethlehem

Perfect for families, the Walk Thru Bethlehem event will take place on December 8 from noon until 6 p.m. Stroll through a recreation of Bethlehem during the birth of Jesus, complete with over 200 characters and live animals! There will also be shops, food, and merchants to enhance your experience.

Dickens of a Christmas

Join the festivities on Main Street in Downtown Franklin on December 14-15 for Dickens of a Christmas. Running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this event features live entertainment across two stages, a bustling Victorian Village, and vendors selling food and arts and crafts.

Yulefest in Goodlettsville

For over 35 years, Goodlettsville has been hosting Yulefest. This cherished tradition will take place on December 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Goodlettsville Visitor’s Center and Historic Mansker’s Station. Enjoy live music, storytelling, and traditional demonstrations in historic cabins, all while exploring the gift shop for that perfect holiday treasure!

Annual Belmont Carillon Christmas Concert

Finally, don’t miss the magical Belmont Carillon Christmas Concert at the Bell Tower on Christmas Eve at 1 p.m. This beautiful tradition has been cherished since the days of Ward-Belmont, and you’ll be treated to the joyful sounds of traditional Christmas music played on the stunning 42-bell carillon.
