In an intriguing twist, Kelsea Ballerini shared how her mint-green themed Nashville residence previously owned by another country-music star, Kacey Musgraves came to be her ‘healing house’. Ballerini revealed these details during a casual conversation with podcaster Alex Cooper on the latter’s video podcast, ‘Call Her Daddy’.
Described by Ballerini as a 1920’s cottage-style abode, the singer-songwriter admitted she tried to purchase the residence during the pandemic in 2020 but wasn’t successful initially. “I wanted a house that feels like I don’t have to be a full adult yet. I saw this house on Zillow and I was like ‘oh my God,’ this is my house. I tried to buy it.”, Ballerini recounted. Interestingly, it was Musgraves who ended up purchasing the property during her divorce.
After parting ways with her ex-husband, and fellow country musician Morgan Evans, Ballerini reached out to Musgraves for a possible change of hands. “I texted her and asked ‘if you ever want to move, would you let me know first?'” The house exchange between the country divas did not involve any real estate agents, but was a straightforward, heart-to-heart understanding.
Musgraves had previously revealed to “Architectural Digest” that she bought the house during her separation as it felt like a new beginning. Now, for Ballerini, her Nashville home signifies a healing retreat. “She was like ‘this was my healing house’ and it makes me a little emo.”, admits Ballerini.
