Suspect Threatens to Kill Man During Broadway Robbery Attempt

The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department responded to a distress call on Fourth Avenue and Broadway, detailing an attempted robbery. Upon arrival at the scene, the victim narrated the terrifying ordeal.
The Threat

The Escape and Arrest
Units on the scene reported that following the threats from Starns, the victim managed to escape from the situation unscathed and promptly alert the authorities. Upon being spotted by the police, Starns attempted to evade capture by running away.
However, the determined efforts of the police eventually resulted in Starns’ surrender, after a short chase. He is currently being held on a bond of more than $100,000. Official charges have been laid, and Starns is awaiting his day in court to face the attempted robbery charge.
