In an effort to tackle Nashville’s dire affordable housing crisis, At-Large Council Member Quin Evans Segall proposed zoning changes under the Nashville’s Essential Structures for Togetherness (NEST) initiative. This proposed amendment sought to alter Nashville’s zoning code to allow for the construction of duplexes, triplexes, and quadruplexes in areas designated for single-family houses.
