Tonight, the vibrant city of Nashville will be buzzing with excitement as country singer Gabby Barrett takes the stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s CMA Theater for her much-anticipated “Giving For Good Show.” This event marks Barrett’s debut as a headliner in the iconic venue, and anticipation is running high!
For those who don’t know, Gabby and her husband, Cade Foehner, created this charitable event two years ago, with a big heart and a burning desire to help those in need. This year, all the proceeds from the show will go to MurphsLife, a foundation dedicated to uplifting and empowering underserved communities in Central America. This is a cause that is deeply needed, as many families struggle daily to escape the grips of poverty.
The foundation was founded by a remarkable individual named Aaron Murphy, who had a life-changing experience while stuck in a border town in Ecuador during the early days of the pandemic. With only $200 in his pocket, Aaron made the selfless choice to buy a hotdog stand for a struggling family, teaching them how to run it and ultimately helping them generate some income. This amazing act of kindness caught the attention of people worldwide, inspiring Aaron to take it a step further and establish MurphsLife to create sustainable solutions for communities in need.
Gabby Barrett stumbled upon MurphsLife while scrolling through her Instagram Explore page and was immediately fired up by its mission. “There’s people sleeping on thin, dirty mattresses and cement floors as well as people who have disabled children and are struggling and stressed,” she shared in a recent interview. Her respect for the cause is evident as she describes how MurphsLife’s efforts transform lives—providing furniture, home renovations, and essential support to families in desperate need. “These people are so grateful, and they’re thanking God. It’s so beautiful and so moving,” she passionately expressed.
With special guest Rachel Purcell kicking off the evening, Barrett will take the stage around 7:30 p.m. and dive into her repertoire, featuring songs from her latest album, Chapter & Verse, and even a few from her newly-released Christmas album, Carols and Candlelight. Fans will love that a large portion of the tracklist for her Christmas album was selected by them, along with some of her cherished favorites like “A Christmas To Remember.” Gabby fondly recalls how her dad would play that song every morning from November to December, creating cherished memories.
“I hope people enjoy the music from the new album, and from the show,” she said. “I hope the takeaway is that giving is always good and to always strive to give. It’s better to give than to receive, and to bless other people—especially those who need it.”
The doors to the CMA Theater will open at 6:30 p.m., giving guests ample time to settle in for an evening of good vibes and even greater purpose. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, there’s still time to be a part of this meaningful event!
It’s clear that Gabby Barrett’s “Giving For Good Show” will not only showcase her incredible talent but also shine a bright light on the importance of community support. So, whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer, tonight is bound to be an unforgettable experience of music, warmth, and kindness.
