The holiday season is upon us, and here in Nashville, there’s a spirit of generosity in the air! This year, Sam’s Place and Sam’s Sports Grill are teaming up with Love From Music City to continue a cherished tradition: hosting a toy and clothing drive to benefit local foster children, ages newborn to 18 years. It’s a wonderful initiative that brings the community together to support some of our most vulnerable children during the festive season.
This year marks the 13th anniversary of Love From Music City in its efforts to assist foster care children throughout Middle Tennessee. With approximately 8,000 kids currently in the state’s foster care system and less than 4,000 homes available for them, there’s a significant need for support. As Shanda Tripp, Founder and CEO of Love From Music City, eloquently puts it, “What once was a desire to help one foster care child has now become a movement to see true change in the foster care system.”
From now until December 8th, you can contribute to this noble cause by dropping off new toys or clothing items at any of the Sam’s locations across Tennessee. Each of these donation boxes is set up at the front of every Sam’s place, making it convenient for everyone to participate.
As a special thank-you for your kindness, Sam’s is offering a $5 gift card for each donation. So, not only will you be making a difference in a child’s life, but you’ll also get a little something back in return!
If you’re looking for a place to donate, here are the locations where you can drop off your items:
Sam Sanchez, owner of Sam’s Place and Sam’s Sports Grill, expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “What began years ago as an act of service, to give to a child in need during the holiday season has grown to encompass so much more.” This collaboration is truly a testament to how a simple idea can evolve into a powerful movement that positively affects so many lives.
As we gear up for the festive season, let’s not forget about those who may not have as much to celebrate. Every toy, every piece of clothing, and every kind gesture counts. Together, we can ensure that local foster children have a memorable holiday season filled with joy and hope.
Join in the effort to support children and families within the foster care system this year. Feel free to bring your friends, family, or coworkers along, and together let’s spread holiday cheer for those who need it the most. Who knows, your small act of kindness could be the highlight of a child’s holiday.
So what are you waiting for? Gather up those new toys and clothing items and drop them off at your nearest Sam’s location today! Let’s make this holiday season the most successful drive yet!
