In a groundbreaking move for sustainable construction, Azure Printed Homes showcased its innovative 3D printed homes, crafted entirely from recycled water bottles, last week in Nashville, Tennessee. The company’s mission involves offering an alternative, eco-friendly solution to the housing market, as well as contributing to the drastic reduction of waste plastic.
On May 24, Azure Printed Homes revealed their X_180 tiny home model to the Nashville public. This innovative abode, costing $49,000, covers 180 square feet and includes a single bedroom, a kitchen, and an attached bathroom. The company sparks interest as each of their homes are produced using 150,000 recycled water bottles, providing a unique blend of sustainability, practicality, and affordability.
Besides the X_180 model, Azure offers different sizes of printed homes to cater to variable needs. The most affordable one is the N_100 model, costing $19,900. This dwelling is a part of their studio series and has a customizable space of 100 square feet. On the extensive side, the X_360 model, valued at $94,900, features two rooms with a kitchen and a bathroom along with a utility space, covering an impressive 360 square feet.
The company blends 3D printing technology and sustainable construction methods to print these eco-friendly houses. Azure hosts a panel discussion for individuals to discuss 3D printing and sustainable materials for housing innovation, redefining contemporary living standards.
Living in an area prone to severe storms, such as Middle Tennessee, requires a secure and robust housing solution. Azure ensures that each modular home is built to withstand wind speeds of up to 150 miles per hour. For an added assurance, the company offers to fortify these homes further, even surpassing the 150 miles per hour resistance for an extra cost.
Despite their groundbreaking design and structure, Azure Printed Homes ensures that any of their models are available nationwide within just four weeks of ordering. This efficiency further propels the practicality of these eco-friendly homes.
