Nashville Show Producer Michael Lohmann Sells Midtown Property to Renowned Restaurateur Ty Hauter

Nashville TV Show Producer Divests Midtown Property

Renowned TV show producer and magnate in the entertainment industry, Michael Lohmann, has garnered attention recently by selling a property in the Midtown locale of Nashville.

Property Sale to Restaurateur

The property in question, a lively bar named the Kung Fu Saloon, was sold for an impressive $6.36 million. The turnover was facilitated by a Davidson County Register of Deeds document which revealed that the bar now belongs to a company called Five Mans Land LLC. This company is managed by none other than the eminent restaurateur, Ty Hauter.

Mr. Hauter runs a successful hospitality company called Good Time Design, originating from San Diego. This company boasts a rich portfolio including the brands Moonshine Flats, Moonshine Beach, and Cerveza Jack’s, the latter of which is already a popular haunt nestled in the corner of 135 Second Ave. N. in The District, downtown Nashville.

The Previous Owners

The property was sold by an entity known as Division Street LLC, the ownership of which was shared by Tsianina Lohmann and Michael Lohmann. Their company, Mack Props LLC, originally purchased the property back in 2015 at a cost of $3.5 million, according to Metro records.

Michael Lohmann is recognized within the industry for his sterling contributions to the TV series ‘Nashville,’ and he also served as producer for the 2019 film ‘Patsy and Loretta.’ Lohmann’s name is often found associated with other projects alongside the director, creator, and writer of Nashville, Callie Khouri.

Financing and Expansion Plans

In a related series of events, the sale deal reports that Hauter has procured a loan, approximately valued at $5.08 million, from Nashville-based FirstBank.

It’s noteworthy that this exchange comes just shortly after Hauter purchased an adjoining property at 1919 Division Street for $7 million in May 2022. He reportedly plans to launch a new bar called Odie’s at that site, as per Billboard reports in December 2023.

Local real estate advisor, Lance Bloom, representing the sellers, confirmed all these transitions. He is a vice-chairman with Colliers’ local office.

Despite several attempts, Hauter, who reportedly resides in Franklin, could not be reached for further comments.
