Nashville, Tennessee — As the hunt continues for some of Nashville’s most violent offenders, the Metro Nashville Police Department has released an updated list of fugitives wanted for serious crimes. This week, the list highlights a woman with four outstanding warrants and a man who has been on the run since January.
The ‘Most Wanted’ list is updated every Wednesday on the Criminal Warrants Division’s social media and includes individuals deemed to be among the most threatening to public safety. Police encourage the community to get involved in solving these cases and helping bring these suspects to justice.
As of August 7, 2024, over half of the suspects currently featured on the list are wanted for either homicide or serious sexual crimes, while others face charges related to aggravated assault, robbery, and child endangerment.
In recent developments, authorities managed to capture a serial car theft suspect shortly after he was listed among Nashville’s ‘Most Wanted.’ Thaddous Baskette, 30, allegedly ran over a victim with a stolen vehicle, leaving the truck owner hospitalized for over a week and requiring a spleen removal. This incident emphasizes the seriousness of gun violence and crime in the area.
Additionally, Emory Davis, 56, was apprehended just a day after appearing on the list. His multiple outstanding warrants involved violent offenses, the most notable being an armed robbery at a convenience store.
The list for the week of August 7, 2024, includes:
The MNPD urges anyone with information about these fugitives to come forward. Residents can contact the police at 615-862-8600 or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 to provide tips anonymously.
The urgency of this situation emphasizes the need for collective action in keeping Nashville safe. Arresting fugitives not only upholds justice but also contributes to the overall safety of the community.
As the city continues to combat crime, the police department remains optimistic about public involvement in bringing these individuals to justice. Observers and residents alike hold hope that justice will be served and that Nashville can recover from the impact of violent crime.
