Nashville Music Icon Bones Owens Delights Fans with New Americana-rooted EP ‘Eighteen Wheeler’ and announces 2024 Tour

Nashville, TN – Leading musician of Nashville’s music scene, Bones Owens, has gifted fans with another melodious treat. The singer-songwriter recently unveiled his latest EP, titled ‘Eighteen Wheeler’, under the Thirty Tigers label along with the striking ‘Bring Me Back’ track. Launched on December 1, 2023, Owens has surprised and pleased audiences with his audacious exploration of sound.

Described as a ‘swampily ominous EP standout’, ‘Bring Me Back’ relies heavily on an imploring vocal delivery partnered with tenacious piano and percussion. This results in a deeply immersive musical offering that seeps into the listeners’ consciousness, capturing their attention.

Owens’s EP overall, ‘Eighteen Wheeler’, steers the musician on a new path, with the sound more melodically rooted in Americana than previous works. The evocative and cinematic aspect of the EP hints towards Owens’s upcoming work – his sophomore full-length album slated for release in Summer 2024.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Eighteen Wheeler’, Owens states, “This EP came out of my need to look backward in order to move forward.” He further added that the EP possibly carries traces from his earlier work, while also serving as a precursor to the eagerly-awaited full-length album set to hit the airwaves in 2024.

A confirmed eclectic musician, Owens’ ability to adapt has contributed massively to shaping his musical identity. His collaborative works range from artists such as Yelawolf, Mikky Ekko, and Jelly Roll, to touring on-stage with Kaleo, Koe Wetzel, and Whiskey Myers. After self-releasing some well-received solo EPs and touring extensively, Owens caught the attention of the Thirty Tigers label, which successfully launched his debut album in 2021.

While exhibiting a shift from his former more crowd-centric works, the ‘Eighteen Wheeler’ EP manifests Owens’s talent for honest storytelling, authentic Delta blues, and deep lyricism. Even though Owens demonstrates a softer side with this latest release, his years as a seasoned Nashville musician still resonate throughout the six-song record.

Following the EP release, Owens has announced a six-city tour in March 2024, which includes a special performance on March 6th at the Basement In Nashville, promising fans an unforgettable live music experience.
