Nashville is buzzing with excitement as a luxury high-rise is set to transform the city’s skyline. The newly announced Paramount tower is poised to become the tallest building in Nashville at an impressive height of 750 feet. This towering structure will not only claim the title from the iconic AT&T building, affectionately known as the “Batman building”, but will also provide a remarkable blend of elegance and modern living.
The Paramount tower will consist of a soaring 60 stories and is expected to house 360 apartments and 140 condominiums. What’s more, it will feature a 517-space parking garage along with a plethora of amenities designed to pamper its residents and guests alike. Located at 1010 Church St., right across from the lush 19-acre Nashville Yards development, this building is being developed by Giarratana LLC and designed by the renowned Chicago architecture firm, Goettsch Partners.
It’s interesting to note that the Paramount project traces its roots back to 2021. That was when the YMCA of Nashville started looking for proposals to expand and renovate its current downtown facility. In collaboration with Giarratana and Goettsch Partners, the team came up with an innovative design featuring a five-story addition to the existing YMCA, alongside the ambitious tower project. These developments are set to further elevate the community feel of downtown Nashville.
As visitors approach the building, they will be greeted by a 30-foot-tall clear-glass lobby that faces Church Street, complete with a circular-drive porte cochere for a truly dramatic entrance. The building’s unique design emphasizes its verticality through the use of differently angled glass surfaces. This will create a dazzling effect of light bouncing in multiple directions, making it a sight to behold. The top four floors will have a series of triangular glass surfaces that will shape the building’s “crown,” resembling a stunning diamond.
The excitement doesn’t stop at the building’s exterior. Level nine is set to deliver some amazing amenities. But that’s just the beginning! Level 40 will offer unique features like a lounge and bar area with a soaring 23-foot ceiling, a cozy fireplace room, and even a private dining area with a 25-seat capacity. The plans also include a bike room, a dog spa, and, naturally, the secure parking garage.
Construction is expected to kick off in late 2023, with the building anticipating completion by 2027. Tony Giarratana, President of Giarratana LLC, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am very pleased to be bringing Paramount to downtown Nashville. As the new tallest tower on the skyline, I hope it earns its place as a treasured landmark for the city.”
Nashvillians and visitors alike can look forward to not just a new skyscraper, but a new chapter for downtown living that promises to enrich the community. The Paramount tower is more than just a building; it’s a vision for a sophisticated urban lifestyle that celebrates style, elegance, and sophistication. Stay tuned as Nashville continues to evolve, one stunning structure at a time!
