Picnic at the Library is a key event that fuels the excitement of reading and learning among children through various initiatives. These include mentorships, literacy programs, interactive story times, and more. Thanks to these initiatives, the Nashville Public Library has successfully reached out to more than 100,000 children and families.
Scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Downtown Main Library on Church Street, the lobby will transform into a scene out of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, assuring an enchanting experience for kids and families alike.
Families partaking in the event can look forward to an enjoyable afternoon filled with engaging music, creative crafts, meet and greet with children’s book characters, and face painting. To keep the energy high, delicious food and drinks will also be served.
To participate, families need to purchase a “Picnic basket” package. These packages come with an array of tickets and other perks. The specifics of the package depend on the one you choose to buy, each uniquely designed to provide a magical and memorable experience.
Organized for the ninth consecutive year, the ‘Picnic at the Library’ is not just about an enjoyable afternoon at the library.
