Nashville Property Sells for $10.7 Million, Showcasing Unique European Design and Rich History

Nashville’s Real Estate Shines with $10.7 Million Sale

In the heart of Nashville, a stunning property has recently marked its place in the real estate spotlight. Sold for a remarkable $10.7 million in August, this home on Franklin Pike has captured the attention of both locals and real estate enthusiasts alike. The sale was facilitated by the dedicated efforts of Realtor Sarah Michaud from The Pargh team at Compass, who shared that her clients truly invested their heart and soul into the property.

A Home with History

This exquisite property boasts a rich history that dates back to its original owner, Jim Stanley, who was a set designer for the popular show “Hee-Haw.” Stanley’s former abode was a white ranch-style house affectionately known as the “Cadillac House.” It earned this nickname because passerby could easily spot his collection of four Cadillacs parked in the carport. After Stanley’s passing, his wife continued to reside there until her death. Eventually, that original structure was torn down to pave the way for the new, meticulously designed home that we see today.

From Inspiration to Reality

The clients of Michaud were determined to create a sanctuary that reflected their passion for European aesthetics. They spent a considerable amount of time collecting a treasure trove of inspirational photographs from various parts of the globe. Following the plunge into the building process, the duo took a bold leap and spent around two years constructing their dream residence.

Unmatched Craftsmanship

Each room within the home has been custom designed, showcasing intricate details that are truly a feast for the eyes. A few standout features include hand-painted silk wallpaper, luxurious marble countertops in the kitchen, and vintage light fixtures that give an air of timeless elegance. The living room especially stands out with Parisian influences, highlighted by stairwell balusters that pay homage to the famous Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in Paris.

Exterior Excellence

The home’s exterior is equally impressive, with brickwork that is created using a unique handmade old Carolina Flemish bond. The stunning brick patterns incorporate a 60/40 mix of colors and custom blended mortar, setting the house apart from anything else in the neighborhood. Michaud noted that “this is a unique way of stacking brick that you really don’t see around town.”

Details Matter

The enchanting lanterns adorning the entrance are vintage pieces sourced from Paris, providing a touch of European charm. To further elevate the aesthetics, the home features handmade English iron doors. The roof consists of reclaimed clay barrel tiles from the 1890s, retrieved from a warehouse in New Jersey, adding to the home’s character and depth.

A Nod to the Past

Final Touches

Even the flooring tells a story, cut in a manner that adds a unique touch, resonating with an older style that is now almost forgotten. Michaud reflected on the property with utter admiration, stating, “Magnificent. I don’t use that word maybe ever.” It’s clear that this home is more than just a structure; it’s a labor of love filled with charm, history, and an impressive attention to detail that showcases modern elegance.

The sale of this exceptional home is not just a testament to the thriving Nashville real estate market, but also highlights the creativity and dedication that goes into making such spaces truly extraordinary.
