Nashville, TN – The Nashville Symphony is thrilled to announce the return of acclaimed fashion designer Pamella Roland as the headliner for the 20th annual Symphony Fashion Show, set to take place at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on April 29, 2025. This exciting event will mark a significant milestone in the history of the Symphony Fashion Show, bringing back a designer who played a pivotal role in its inception.
Pamella Roland was the featured designer at the inaugural fashion show in 2006, and her return to the stage is a moment of joy for all involved. Co-chairs for the 2025 event, Katie Crumbo and Laurie Seabury, expressed their enthusiasm, saying, “Welcoming Pamella Roland back as the featured designer for the 20th anniversary of the Symphony Fashion Show is a full-circle moment. Her collection set the standard for what has become a signature event for the Symphony and the Nashville community.”
The Symphony Fashion Show has become an important fundraiser for the Nashville Symphony, dedicated to supporting education and community engagement programs. Over its two decades of existence, the show has featured stunning collections from some of the world’s most talented designers, creating a significant impact within the community.
Nashville Symphony President and CEO Alan D. Valentine shared the importance of the event, stating, “The Symphony Fashion Show has played a pivotal role in supporting our educational and community programs, allowing us to expand our reach and impact.” He also thanked Crumbo, Seabury, Roland, and local partner Gus Mayer for their ongoing support and dedication to the show’s success.
Pamella Roland expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to return to the event after so many years. “In 2006, the event was brand-new, and I was just a few years into my own career,” she noted. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to come back and celebrate our mutual successes. As a passionate advocate for arts education, I am especially pleased to help support the Nashville Symphony’s robust music educational programs through this wonderful event.”
The excitement begins with the annual Kick-Off Party at Gus Mayer on October 28, 2024, which is an invitation-only event. Shortly after, a two-day trunk show will take place at the Green Hills boutique on October 29 and 30, open to the public. This trunk show will showcase Roland’s Spring 2024 collection, allowing attendees to experience her fashion firsthand.
Gus Mayer has been a partner of the Symphony Fashion Show for 15 years, playing a crucial role in securing top designers and producing the show. Past designers at the event have included renowned names such as Prabal Gurung, Carolina Herrera, Brandon Maxwell, Lela Rose, Monique Lhuillier, and Oscar de la Renta.
The 20th annual Symphony Fashion Show will be co-chaired by Crumbo and Seabury, with Sandra Lipman returning as executive chairman, a position she has held since the event’s inception. Bruce Pittman will serve as the event planner for this significant occasion.
The Symphony Fashion Show promises to be an exciting event, celebrating two decades of remarkable fashion while supporting the Nashville Symphony’s initiatives. More details regarding the event’s emcee and featured entertainer will be announced closer to the date.
