Nashville Woman Detained For Suspected Abduction of Ex-Partner’s Children, Faces Multiple Kidnapping Counts

Nashville Woman Arrested for Alleged Kidnapping of Ex-Boyfriend’s Children

In a surprising turn of events, a Nashville woman has been apprehended by the Metro Nashville Police Department for supposedly abducting her ex-boyfriend’s children. Jenny Men, 30, allegedly picked up the minors from their school bus last Thursday and sent their father a threatening message.

Kidnapping Incident

According to the arrest affidavit, Men purportedly coerced her former partner into giving her back some of her belongings, threatening that he would only see his children again if he complied. When her brother implored her to converse with the police about her actions, she summarily disconnected the call.

Further reinforcing the victim’s dread, she contacted him once again to inform him that she was taking the kids on a road trip. Alarmingly, she expressed her intent to leave the children alone in her car in frigid temperatures if he failed to give back her things.

Authorities’ Response

The police acted on the alarming intelligence and successfully traced her whereabouts using her mobile phone’s location services. They found her en route westbound on I-40. After opening lines of communication with her, they managed to persuade her to deliver the children back.

Upon her intercept, Men vehemently denied making any such threats to her ex-boyfriend. Remarkably, however, her phone number corresponded with the contact details in the threatening messages he had received.

Charges and Arrest

Subsequently, the Metro Nashville Police Department took Men into custody, charging her with two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping of a person under the age of 13. Presently, incarcerated, she awaits her trial with bail set at $100,000.

With the chilling details of the case coming to light, the incident serves as a reminder of the often-overlooked complexity of post-relationship dynamics and their potential to escalate into criminal activities. It also underscores the importance of proactive policing and efficient legal procedures to guard the interests of the vulnerable.

The incident has sparked considerable concern among the local community, drawing attention to the need for continued vigilance, communication, and support systems to ensure the safety and wellness of all parties involved, especially innocent children, in separation incidents.

Note: As the case is presently ongoing, further details and updates will be reported as they emerge.
