Nashville Gears Up for “You Got Gold” Concert Series to Support Hurricane Relief

This October, Nashville is set to shine a little brighter as the city gears up for an exciting series of concerts that not only celebrate the legendary songs of John Prine but also focus on helping those in need following the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The Prine Family, along with the Hello In There Foundation, has announced that all proceeds and donations from the “You Got Gold” concert series will support relief efforts in affected areas.

Mark Your Calendars!

From October 9 to 12, music lovers can come together for this heartwarming event featuring performances at iconic locations like the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and The Basement East. The concert lineup promises exciting shows, including a special event on October 10 that celebrates John Prine’s birthday.

The concerts will kick off at the historic Ryman Auditorium on October 9, followed by a day full of activities and celebrations at various venues leading up to an evening at the CMA Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 11. Each show will be filled with wonderful performances celebrating the late artist’s music, an experience you won’t want to miss!

A Cause Close to Our Hearts

The Hello In There Foundation, initiated by the Prine family, is dedicated to honoring John Prine’s legacy by providing support and resources to marginalized communities. The mission of the foundation includes helping individuals and groups that may otherwise go unnoticed. This year, the focus will be on providing much-needed assistance in regions heavily affected by Hurricane Helene.

Grants from the foundation will prioritize local organizations actively working in Southeastern areas, particularly in places that suffered significant damage such as East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Gulfport, Florida. The foundation’s aim is to pool resources and provide hands-on aid to those who need it most.

A Call for Support

Individuals looking to make a difference can contribute in several ways. The foundation is matching every donation made until October 8, which means your gift could go even further in helping those impacted by the storm. Not only does this concert series present an opportunity to enjoy great music, but it also allows you to lend a helping hand.

On-site donations during the concerts will also go towards disaster relief along with 100% of the You Got Gold ticket sales proceeds. Last year, this concert series raised over $300,000, and the Prine family hopes to surpass that amount this year to extend their reach and provide further support.

How to Get Involved

Don’t wait too long to grab your tickets for an unforgettable experience at the Ryman Auditorium! They are limited, and this is a chance to not only enjoy the music of John Prine but also to contribute to a fantastic cause. If you can’t make it to the concert, consider making a donation through the Hello In There Foundation’s portal to ensure your contribution can help those in need.

Nashville’s spirit of community shines brightly, especially when it comes to supporting each other. As we gear up for “You Got Gold,” let’s come together to enjoy the beautiful music while standing strong with those recovering from Hurricane Helene. Remember, every ticket and donation counts, and together, we can make a significant difference!
