Soles4Souls Kicks Off 4th Annual Race4EveryKid with Family Fun Run/Walk, Aims to Provide Shoes for Homeless Children

Soles4Soles Launches Its 4th Annual Race4EveryKid with a Family Fun Run/Walk Event on May 4

An Opportunity to Give Kids in Need a Step Forward

NASHVILLE, TN — In a unified pursuit to convert shoes and clothing into opportunity, the Nashville-based international nonprofit, Soles4Souls will be launching its 4th annual Race4EveryKid event during the month of May. This virtual movement challenge is dedicated to raising funds to present shoes to homeless children both in our local community and across the United States.

Soles4Souls will be kicking off this monumental event with a family-friendly mile-long fun run/walk on Saturday, May 4 from 9:30 to 11 am CST. The festive launch party will take place at the Mission Picnic Pavilion in Shelby Park, located at South 20th Street and Shelby Ave. in Nashville. The event warmly welcomes families and is free of charge.

Making a Difference One Step at a Time

Every walk, run, cycle, or swim contributes to the noble purpose of this event. Each $20 raised in the Race4EveryKid event purchases a new pair of shoes for a homeless child. This simple gesture can be transformative, giving homeless children the chance to attend school, engage in sports teams, and stay active.

In the United States, over one million children are classified as homeless, and within Middle Tennessee alone, over 5,000 children lack a stable residence. Adding to these dismal facts, the ongoing pandemic has further exacerbated the desperation and compromised the educational development of these children.

The Race4EveryKid event provides an opportunity for concerned individuals and groups to be directly involved in combating this crisis. By registering online and setting up a personal race page, participants can amass pledges for every mile they undertake, whether they choose to run, walk, cycle, or swim. Supporters can also donate directly through the race page.
