FRANKLIN – As the weather takes a cozy turn with rain gracing our community today, people are also celebrating some heartwarming stories of local achievement and spirit. Early this morning, residents woke up to showers that will evolve into steady rain by afternoon, bringing a high near 61°F and breezy winds blowing from the southeast at 10 to 20 mph. If you’re out and about, be sure to keep an umbrella handy, as there’s a 60% chance of rain!
The rain is expected to continue into the evening, with showers and even a few thundershowers before settling into a steady downpour overnight. Temperatures will drop to a low of 54°F, with the chance of rain increasing to 80%. Locally heavy rainfall is possible, so take it easy on the roads out there!
A Congratulations to the Moseleys
This current weather seems like the perfect backdrop for recognizing the fantastic contributions of some of our community members. Just last week, Jeff Moseley received the prestigious Gayle Moyer Harris Award for his outstanding work. And it appears that excellence runs in the family, as his wife, Helen Moseley, is also being honored for her dedication to the Williamson County DUI Court Foundation. It’s a remarkable achievement for both of them, and we can’t help but feel proud to have such passionate individuals in our town!

With the recent end of Daylight Savings Time, local law enforcement agencies are stepping up efforts to ensure safe driving as the evenings get darker earlier. Operation Fall Back, a joint initiative spearheaded by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, encourages drivers to be extra cautious during this transitional period. “It’s all about safety and keeping our roads secure as drivers adjust to the new lighting conditions,” a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office noted. So if you’re on the road tonight, keep those headlights on and drive safely!
A Day of Honor – Veterans Day Parade
On Monday, November 11, the community turned out in droves for the annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Franklin. The march featured vibrant marching bands, classic cars, and the grace of many proud participants, making it a day to remember. Thousands came together to honor our veterans and thank them for their service, embracing the spirit of unity and respect.

She’s set to release her debut book, Growing, with Olympia Publishers on Friday, November 1. The book addresses the complexities of growing up in today’s fast-paced world, and we can’t wait to see how her experiences as a Nashville-raised kid shape her story.
