Visit Giant Troll Sculptures at Cheekwood for a Fairytale Summer like No Other

Nashville, Tennessee – If you’re seeking a touch of fairytale magic this summer, look no further than the Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. The estate is set to transform into a mythical wonderland featuring larger-than-life troll sculptures in its most enchanting event yet – “Trolls: Save the Humans,” which will run from now until Sept. 1.

Experience the Enchantment of the Trolls

Nestled across the expansive 55-acres estate, visitors will find six gargantuan trolls crafted entirely from reclaimed wood. These eco-friendly trolls range in size from 16 to 24 feet long, carefully placed to invite exploration and wonderment they provide an artistic spectacle unlike any other. These towering creatures are the brainchild of recycle artist, Thomas Dambo, and have been brought to life from discarded materials.

The exhibit, produced by Imagine Exhibitions, is not just about introducing these captivating creatures to Nashville, but to relay a much more profound meaning. The trolls are depicted as activists, noticing that humans are disconnected from nature and are causing harm to the environment. Interactive and thought-provoking, they invite visitors on a journey to rediscover their bond with nature, embracing the message of co-existing in harmony.

The World of Trolls Comes Alive

Amidst the luscious greenery and splendid gardens of the Cheekwood Estate, the trolls seem perfectly at home, echoing the urgent message of conservation and the inspiring possibility of transforming discarded materials into something beautiful. Each troll sculpture tells its own tale, reminding visitors of age-old folklore while prompting thoughtful dialogue about humankind’s relationship with the environment.

Inspiring Lessons for All Ages

Jane MacLeod, President and CEO of Cheekwood, believes that the exhibit brings an invaluable message universal to all ages. “The idea that something discarded can be transformed into something beautiful is a timely and relevant message,” she asserts. The trolls are proof that art, creativity, and environmental consciousness can coexist, fostering an awareness that transcends the summer and the exhibition itself.

The fantastic world of trolls, brought by this first-of-its-kind exhibit in Nashville, is open to the public from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase online, offering a chance to step into this extraordinary world where folklore, environmental consciousness, and art converge.
