The thrill of an Omakase-style dining experience is making its way to Nashville. Sushi Bar Hospitality, renowned for its speakeasy-style dining experiences and extensive waitlists across the U.S., is set to open its doors to food enthusiasts of Nashville on July 18.
Managed by Adept Hospitality, the new location in Nashville will be the fifth Sushi Bar to be added to its portfolio. Earlier installations of the restaurant have pleased palates in Austin, Miami, Chicago and Dallas. The newest venue will be beautifully tucked within the Golden Sound, a fresh cocktail lounge concept by the hospitality group. This innovative establishment will find its home at 610 Magazine Street in The Gulch, which formerly accommodated the Barista Parlor Golden Sound.
The anticipated opening of Sushi Bar uplifts Nashville by introducing the first Omakase dining style setting in the city. A two-hour dinner experience will host parties of 12 per seating across two sushi bar rooms. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in the 17-course tasting menu, directed by expert sushi chefs.
A unique feature to highlight is the sourcing of the menu’s fish, which will be imported weekly from the finest markets in Japan. Diners can pair their meals with top-shelf sake while an onsite sommelier further curates the drink pairings as per the menu’s changes with the seasons.
The new cocktail lounge, Golden Sound, will operate independently of Sushi Bar while still offering a pre and post-dining option for Sushi Bar guests. Premium spirits and handcrafted beverages, including sub-zero martinis, espresso martinis and highballs, will headline Golden Sound’s drink list. An additional feature is the lounge’s no-reservation policy.
CEO of Adept Hospitality, Ryan Stock, shares his excitement on the new venture stating, “Choosing Nashville as the destination for our newest Sushi Bar is a natural evolution in our journey. Having spent considerable time in Nashville, we’ve been captivated by its vibrant culinary scene. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional dining experience but also cultivate a sense of community at every counter.”
Nashville-based Remick Architecture was tasked with the transformational design of Sushi Bar and Golden Sound, intertwining the space’s former history as a recording studio with Nashville’s artistic spirit. The design is driven by the space’s days as a hub for artists and the Nashville music scene in the 1960’s.
Blending modern, sexy aesthetics with a tribute to Japan’s simplicity and harmonious design, the interiors are expected to immerse patrons in a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Nashville.
Sushi Bar will be open from Wednesday to Sunday and offer three seatings per night at 5:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. The Omakase experience starts at $165 per person with options to pair dishes with premium beverages and an extensive sake list. Complimentary welcome cocktails will greet guests arriving 20 minutes before their reservation. More information about Sushi Bar restaurants can be found at sushibarhospitality.com.
