Nashville’s Most Wanted: A Deep Dive into the City’s Fugitives

Who Made the List This Week?

This week’s feature contains several high-profile suspects, with Dadiri Muhina, 23, taking the top spot. Muhina has been a lingering presence on the list for five consecutive weeks and is charged with serious allegations including first-degree murder, conspiracy, and attempted murder. These charges stem from a tragic incident in September 2021 when 16-year-old Ja’Niya Birdsong was fatally shot. Family members shared that she was a promising young student, aspiring to be a hairstylist, and her loss left the community heartbroken.

As investigators connected Muhina to this horrific crime, they discovered alarming evidence, including text messages among the suspects discussing plans to cover up their actions. Despite the evolving investigation, Muhina remains on the run, and authorities are pleading for the public’s help in locating him.

Continued Search for Adrian Cameron

Next up is Adrian Cameron, 19, who has been on the run since April after being linked to the murder of rapper Chris King. The unfortunate event occurred on April 20, during what was initially a friendly gathering that turned violent. During a robbery attempt, Cameron allegedly shot King, who sadly did not survive his injuries. At the time of the shooting, Cameron was already out on bond for a previous murder charge.

In another incident, Lagarrion Blacksmith, 35, is also wanted for a deadly shooting outside a bar that left one man dead. Witness accounts revealed that after an argument inside Trvth Lounge, Blacksmith allegedly fired the fatal shots, resulting in the tragic loss of life.

What About Other Suspects?

Raceme Crutcher, 22, has been sought since July 2023 for his involvement in a fatal Fourth of July shooting. Involvement with gun violence has become a concerning theme, as Fredy Sanchez-Argueta, 30, has been indicted on 12 counts linked to alleged sexual crimes. The charges against him include some of the most serious, such as statutory rape and aggravated sexual battery involving minors. His last known whereabouts were in South Nashville, but police have found it challenging to track him down.

The “Most Wanted” program has proven effective since its inception, aiding in more than 135 arrests since October 2022. Although many suspects have been apprehended following community tips and investigative work, some have turned themselves in after being featured on the list.
