In the lively heart of Nashville, music isn’t the only thing creating excitement—there’s a fresh face at Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN). Enter Robert Kilduff, who has just been announced as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This isn’t just any new hire; this man comes with a treasure trove of experience and is ready to hit the ground running in his new role.
Kilduff brings more than 30 years of experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, and corporate development to UMGN. Before stepping into this pivotal role, he served as the CFO for the Gary Sinise Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans. Before that, Kilduff was the CFO of New Form Entertainment and managed financial operations at WME and Universal Music Group North America.
His career has been quite the journey. He played a key role in steering the financial strategy at Broadramp, Inc.—a tech startup—developed an international software division at the Oscar-winning Digital Domain, and led international teams and financial operations integration for Neopets.com, which is a subsidiary of Viacom. Not to forget his earlier roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Warner Bros. Studios, and the former Big Six accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand.
Cindy Mabe, the Chair and CEO of UMGN, expresses great enthusiasm about Kilduff’s arrival, saying, “Having helped lead the financial growth strategy of businesses in music, film/television, and technology sectors, Bob has a wealth of knowledge that will be instrumental in the growth strategy of Universal Music Group Nashville. He is the unicorn we were looking for to help grow the next era of UMGN. I am so excited for him to join our team.”
Robert Kilduff couldn’t be happier either. He shares his thoughts, saying, “I am thrilled to rejoin UMG, a company with such a rich history of creative excellence, and eager to contribute to its ongoing success and future growth.” His excitement is palpable, and it’s clear he sees potential for great things ahead.
The addition of Kilduff comes at a significant time for UMGN, which is always looking for ways to enhance its robust reputation in the music industry. With Kilduff’s varied experience ranging from entertainment to technology, he’s poised to implement new strategies that may very well shape the future of the company.
This welcoming of a new CFO is more than just a change in personnel; it’s a strong signal of UMGN’s commitment to growth and innovation. As Kilduff settles into his role, the Nashville music scene eagerly anticipates the fresh ideas and innovative strategies he will bring to the table.
As the Nashville community continues to thrive on its rich musical culture, the involvement of experienced leaders like Kilduff only adds to the excitement. Stay tuned, as we are sure that this new chapter in Universal Music Group Nashville’s story is just beginning!
