3rd Annual VetFest in Nashville Honors Veterans with Music and Therapy

VetFest Returns to Nashville for 3rd Annual Event

Bringing Music and Therapy to Local Veterans and Their Families

Nashville, Tennessee:

Nashville is once again hosting the eagerly awaited VetFest for the third time, reinforcing its reputation as a significant veterans city. The popular event, which was initiated as a salute to the many sacrifices of military veterans and their families, will take place on Saturday, June 22 at the Skydeck on Broadway.

A Day to Celebrate and Thank Veterans

Founded by Bob Woodruff, the celebrated war reporter and veteran’s advocate, the annual VetFest is more than just a celebration. It’s a way of expressing gratitude to the brave servicemen and women returning from the field. Woodruff barely survived an improvised explosive device attack in Iraq, which left him in a coma for 36 days. His difficult yet ultimately successful recovery journey has made him a passionate advocate for mental health and quality physical care for all veterans.

Music as a Universal Language

Being based in Music City, USA, music unsurprisingly plays a crucial role at the VetFest. The therapeutic influence of music helped Woodruff in his recovery and he passionately believes in its power to heal. This year’s attendees can look forward to live music performances by some of the area’s most loved artists including Ashley McBryde, Maddie and Tae, Michael Warren, and Lucinda Williams among others.

Nashville Out in Full Force to Support Veterans

The local community has long been supportive of this cause, and the event’s growing popularity is a testament to the region’s recognition and respect for its veterans. “Nashville is a huge veterans town and Tennessee is a big veterans state,” says Woodruff, and he’s right. The festival is designed to offer a platform for veterans and their families to mingle while enjoying local music, good food, games, and fellowship, spurring even deeper community ties.

Tickets and More Information

The VetFest will kick off at 4 P.M. at the Skydeck on Broadway at 5055 Broadway on June 22. Tickets need to be arranged in advance and are available at the event’s official website BWFVetFest.com.
